I have been busy also with the Dexter Group of Tasmania. As Chairperson (or "President" in the "old fashioned" language) I have been kept busy helping organise the upcoming National AGM events the Group is hosting. It is going to be a great AGM as we have been lucky enough to have Carol Davidson, a very experienced Canadian Dexter Breeder, coming. She will be sharing some of her knowledge with a talk on the history of Dexters in Australia, Kerrys versus Dexters and more. We are also organising a Tassie food & stud bus tour to take place on the Sunday 16th October. Keep an eye on our Group's website for further details! (See my Related Links page to get to the site.)
I am doing some AI this year. This is the first time I have done AI for over 16 years so I am quite excited about what I will get from different bulls. Two cows (Boaday & Encore) have been inseminated so far & fingers crossed they will take first time. I will keep you informed.
That's all the news I can think of at the moment.
'Till next time,
